Letter to next year students

hey students from next year this is Maria Preciado I’m in photo 1, at first this class interested me but I never choose it as an elective until my Jr year, it’s a very interesting class and fun, the person who also makes it fun is MS Cauchon the assignments and photos we take and very exciting, and you learn new things to. one thing of editing your picture is being creative if you’re not having creative that Okai, I’m not a creative person but you could always as MS Cauchon for some ideas and she would give them to you. and in this class, you need to be doing class work because MS Cauchon doesn’t like it if your just sitting in class doing nothing or sleeping, she could possibly kick you out, but she doesn’t do it because she is mean, but this is her classroom and all she expects from her students is to do their assignments. Her assignments are really simple. Never get on MS Cauchon bad side I’ve never gotten on her by side but I’m pretty sure it’s not something any of you guys will want. one of her pet peeves is talking and not paying attention when she is talking or showing a demo on an assignment, she like us to pay attention to her when she is teaching and talking. something she also doesn’t like is us being on our phones during her class, like she says, “there is better in life than being on your phone.” which that is true there is always better thing in life then just being on your phone. and ALWAYS take care of her cameras because they are very expensive, when you go out shooting do not let any other person touch expect you and if you have a partner from your class because those other people may not know how to use a camera and can ruin it or break so always keep it safe and you as well take care of that camera. * She does not like when people eat in her class* other than that Ms Cauchon is the best photo teacher and is an exciting teacher and nice. hope you guys enjoy her class and love it just like I did incoming students for photo 1. <3

I choose Ms. Johnson because she has known me since my freshman year and I have known her since she first started working here at Jurupa, she was my English teacher. she has always been here for me when I first met her, I always felt the connection n between her and I, she’s a really loving and caring teacher all she wants is for students to pass in her class and always seeing what student needs help for their assignments, in my opinion she is a really good teacher. any student can always go to her if they feel some type of way and she’ll help you and will give you the best advice. she a very energetic, happy and joyful teacher.

the important facts

  1. the kit and power pack for the flash
  2. there is two types of flash one of them is symmetric power and the other is asymmetric
  3. If you’re shooting outdoors or with complicated modifier setups, you are going to need a lot of power to overcome the sun or the light loss caused by the modifiers
  4. If your flash head does not come with a zoom reflector, you can find many types of wide or narrow reflectors sold as accessories.
  5. There are silver-lined, white, and gold tinted umbrellas
  6. Light emitted from the strobe head gets reflected inside the walls of the softbox and diffused through the box’s translucent front creating a soft, but more focused light source illuminating the model or scene.
  7. Snoots are conical shaped tools that narrow the distribution of light. These can be used to produce a very focused, harsh light.
  8. Honeycomb grids, as the name suggests, are basically honeycomb shaped metallic grids that direct the light for a more focused spread
  9. There are two main types of light stands: lightweight stands and C-stands which are more heavy duty.
  10. The c-stand is strong enough to hold backgrounds and seamless white paper in addition to lights.
